Maje has instituted a legal action against his estranged wife, Toke Makinwa over her tell all memoir, which he claimed contained defamatory words. Through his lawyers kemi pinheiro (SAN) of pinheiro LP, Ayide has initiated legal proceedings at the Lagos judicial division if high court, Lagos state. Kachifo limited, publishers of the memoir, were also sued along side the television personality. Ayide Is demanding N100m in damages in the suit which was filed February 7th. He has requested the court to donate damages which will be awarded to him to four charities which will be nominated by him. The law suit is a follow-up of the letters demand earlier served to Toke Makinwa in December 2016 by pinheiro LP. Ayide has demanded that she retracts the defamatory words contained in the memoir and to tender an unreserved apology in several national dailies. Toke has been served with the court papers. Cross Rivers state governor, Prof. Ben Ayade, has offered N1m cash reward to anyone who provides information that will lead to the arrest of kidnappers and armed robbers in the state. The governor who said the reward was on executive order christened "Hafiz law," noted that it was meant to check kidnapping and armed robberies. He made the pronouncement at the government house in calabar when he received the acting commissioner of police, Mr. Hafiz Inuwa, who was on courtesy visit. The executive order according to Ayade, stipulates that anybody who gives information leading to the arrest of armed robbers or kidnappers is entittled to N1m he said, " from today there is a whistle- blowing law in cross rivers state that guarantees you N1m when you unmask an armed robber, somebody who is in possession of illegal firearms or somebody you know is a kidnapper or habouring a kidnapped victim." Federal government says 465 billion naira has been distributed to the three tiers of government as revenue collected for the month of January. This was revealed by the permanent Secretary of the ministry of finance Mahmud Dutse, who chaired the federation account allocation committee(FAAC) meeting held on Tuesday. Commissioners of finance from various states were present at the (FAAc) meeting which took place in abuja. Mr dutse said the distributed amount was 65 billion, higher than what was shared the pervious months. He explained that the increase was as a result of growth in federation export sales by $74.9 million, resulting from a price in crude oil export volume by $1.49 million barrels. As well as an increase in the average price of crude from $47.3 to$49.7 per barrel. According to vanguard, Timi Dakolois set to be dragged to court by Nigerian music legend Majek fashek for using majek all time hit song 'send down the rain' with out authorization. His manager Uzoma Day Omenka said they will file the suit unless Dakolo can provide proof of authorization by any representative of majek. " we are not taking this case lightly, we are just awaiting the arrival of our solicitors from US and UK then we will hit the court.
