One of the men captured in a video of the lynching of Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama, has been found dead. The body was found at Modase, a nearby community in Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region.  Police found the body in a pool of blood early Thursday. It is not clear what may have caused his death but Nhyira FM’s Ohemeng Tawiah said, police have begun investigations into this latest development. The deceased held in his hand a polyethene which contained an identity card bearing the name Francis Bio, aged 46. The Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI, has “condemned in strongest terms” the decision of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, to continue with its orientation camps for fresh graduates across the country despite the Ramadan fast. The body, led by Abubakar Sa’ad, the Sultan of Sokoto, also called on the Nigerian Army to immediately postpone its planned recruitment exercise until Muslims have concluded their fasting period. The decision was part of resolutions, which included fervent prayers for President Muhammadu Buhari, reached by JNI at its recently-concluded annual central council meeting in Kaduna, which held on May 21 and 22. The organisation said NYSC admitting new entrants into orientation camps and the Nigerian Army conducting recruitment exercise during Ramadan would put Muslim faithful, especially those observing fasting and prayers, at a disadvantage. The office in question which served as the secretariat of the LUTH branch of the Association of Resident Doctors, LUTH-ARD, had earlier been taken over by the hospital management two days ago.  But the move was  resisted by the aggrieved doctors. Findings revealed that in the process, some of the doctors and the security officers were injured and the Police had to be invited to bring the situation under control. While some of the doctors claimed that the LUTH management had sent security personnel to take over their secretariat around 2 am (Wednesday), the Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Prof Chris Bode, said the hospital had taken over the space as it has become a security threat.
